This is the best news we’ve heard all day. Maybe even all month. It is only the 9th, but still…this is pretty fucking dope.
Swedish death metal veterans Hypocrisy are currently prepping new material for their 13th studio album, which is scheduled for release next year on Nuclear Blast Records.
“We’re now focusing on writing new songs for the next album,” Hypocrisy says in a statement. “We’ve already [got] some new material and it sounds killer! The plan is to record the new album in the autumn this year and release it in the first half of 2013.
“So far everything is working out as planned and we’re really excited to bring out the new release,” the statement adds. “Between the writing process we’re also doing some festival shows and we hope to see you all there! We’ll keep you updated what’s going on with the band!”
The as-yet-untitled LP will follow Hypocrisy’s last release, A Taste of Extreme Divinity, which dropped in 2009.
Here now is one of my favorite cuts from that LP.
