Baroness Show Us Their New Artwork
And it’s fucking awesome as all get-up!
Look at that shit! It’s glorious, and I wish I had a print of the art for my rock room. Make it so. Engage!
Baroness’ new album, Yellow & Green, is slated for a July 17 release through Relapse Records.
The album artwork was created by John Baizely, frontman for the band.
The man has done all of the band’s artwork as well as artwork for Gillian Welch, Kylesa, Black Tusk and Skeletonwitch.
Baizley has become widely regarded for his modernized Art Nouveau style with Juxtapoz Magazine profiling him in their current issue, a press release says.
Baroness kicked off their first tour in over a year the other day with a show at Ace of Cups in Columbus, Ohio. The band joins Meshuggah on April 29 for a spring trek across North America, previewing material from Yellow & Green.
We are hearing the record may not be as beloved by longtime fans, because it isn’t that…tough. If any of you attend these shows and hear some of the new stuff, do us a solid and let us know if its super slow or what.
