Ghost Are Now Too Cool For School
It was bound to happen.
Ghost’s album is hypnotic, and accessible. They’ve been buzzed about more than any other metal-ish band in recent memory. Now, like George and Weezy, they’re moving on up.
Reports claim Ghost is no longer on Metal Blade, and has inked a deal with Seven Four Ent.
The band is the first signing for the label, which is led by former Warner Bros. Records Chairman/CEO Tom Whalley.
Don’t worry about Ghost turning to shit because that won’t happen. Seven Four Ent. last month announced a label deal with Universal Republic Records, and Whalley signed a bunch of bands to Interscope, like Limp Bizkit, Helmet, and Primus.
Long before anyone was talking about Ghost, at all, our own scribe — and longtime pal of Gun Shy — The Goat wrote an extensive diatribe on the band, and told you to get ready for their advent.
That’s because The Goat somehow knows of bands years before any of us know about them.
