Next week at The Triple Door, musicians Laura Warshauer and Bob Schneider will be performing two shows in as many nights.
Laura Warshauer became a buzz in 2010 when she was awarded the Holly Prize, an award named after the iconic Buddy Holly. The award came from the Songmaster’s and the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame and with the honor came performances at CMJ Showcase and a feature on the E! True Hollywood Story: Kate and Pippa Middleton as Laura was a college roommate of Kate’s. The song ‘To Will and Kate, Meet Me at Exit 109’ is an ode to the beginnings of the couple’s fairy-tale romance. Her sound has been compared to the likes of Stevie Nicks and Alanis Morrisette, combined with the youthful spirit of Cyndi Lauper and with a new album tentatively titled Wicked Wicked slated for a spring/summer release this year, Laura is joining Bob Schneider’s nationwide tour.
Schneider a veteran of the Austin live music scene, is a favorite of The Triple Door. His journey through the highs and lows of nearly “making it big in music” as well as including a romance with a major Hollywood actress, all make for a rich sound the likes of Citizen Cope, Jack Johnson, and David Gray. His latest release is titled A Perfect Day.
The duo will grace one of Seattle’s premier music venues on June 4th and 5th. Both shows are all-ages and check out the links below to get a preview of each of these talented musicians.
