Lamb Of God’s Randy Blythe Released From Prague Prison

Randy in court
He has been.

At this point it’s safe to say things are getting better for Lamb of God and Randy Blythe, who was arrested Wednesday on manslaughter charges. Lamb of God has Tweeted: “RANDY IS FUCKIN’ FREE!”

Reports claim Blythe is being released on €200,000 bail, or $4 million Czech crowns; that’s $250,000.

The report claims that is Randy’s annual salary as the band’s singer.

Blythe was in court today and did not speak at his hearing. The judge considered Blythe a flight risk. This article also claims the kid who died in 2010 after falling off the stage during Lamb of God’s set was 19 and named Daniel.

Some shit may be getting lost in translation here, but some folks are telling me the article claims Randy will not be released until Monday, as banks are closed and he can’t get cash for his bail. That seems to be accurate. What’s another 48 hours in prison?

One report claims Blythe showed up in an Obituary sweatshirt and American flag hat, and was “timid as a lamb.”

Lamb of God guitarist Mark Morton — who is with the band in Prague, where it’s almost 2 p.m. as of this writing — just Tweeted what I can only presume means Randy is going to be released.

“Today just turned into a FANTASTIC day!!!,” Mark Tweets.

To me, that’s a clear indicator that Randy’s out…or at least going to be released soon.

A court hearing was scheduled for today in Prague. Lamb of God last night Tweeted that “we expect Randy will be released. Thank you all for your support.”
