Former Testament Manager Pens New Book

The book's cover
Apparently, anyone can write a book. I’ve said it a thousand times. You just have to have some modicum of renown…that’s all.

“One For The Road: How To Be A Music Tour Manager” is the first and only book on music tour management, according to a press release.

The 312-page book was written by Mark Workman, a successful lighting designer and tour manager who has worked with the likes of Slayer, Anthrax, Megadeth, Machine Head, Queens of the Stone Age, Dio, Sepultura, and more.

He also managed Testament, which is why the foreword is written by Alex Skolnick.

The book is “for beginners and covers every aspect of being a road manager touring the world with a music group,” a press release says.

“It is also a brutally blunt and funny behind-the-scenes look at the ups and downs of organizing and running a music tour for some of the heaviest bands in the world.”

“One For The Road: How To Be A Music Tour Manager” will go on sale on December 1.
