Coming soon in March, the Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre will take on the classic “Othello” starring Tony-nominated Forrest McClendon in the title role. The show, directed by Carmen Khan, takes on the how “the destruction of love can threaten the very fabric of our being, [destroying] not only our sense of who we are, but who we might become.” Their treatment of “Othello” will “examine the differences between falling in love and being able to love.”

“Othello” will be playing from March 8th through May 18th at the Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre located at 2111 Sansom Street. Previews run from March 8th to March 10th; official opening date is March 13. Tickets can be purchased for $30 at or by calling (215) 496-9722.
