Lamb Of God's Randy Blythe A Free Man; Ruled Not Guilty
The nightmare is over.
Blesk.cz reports that Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe has been acquitted in his manslaughter trial.
Oh happy fucking day!
That means Randy can go back to the U.S., and Lamb of God can get back to the business of rocking the fuck out.
When someone’s fucking innocent, they’re innocent. And from fucking day one, he was innocent.
Of course, he’ll never get back that month he spent in a Prague prison or any of the money the band lost from all the shows they had to fucking cancel, but…them’s the breaks.
Blythe was accused in the manslaughter of Daniel Nosek, who died two weeks after a Lamb of God show in 2010.
He sustained a head injury which he eventually succumbed from.
It is nonetheless sad that Daniel died. But there is no fucking way Randy was ever even remotely responsible for it.
I once dove from the stage at an Orange 9MM show in New York. No one caught me; I hit the concrete floor hard. My chin clipped the ground too. It happens. If you are dumb enough to stagedive, you need to accept the consequences of that stupidity.
I am glad Randy is a free man. Things are looking up for a stint on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, huh?
Blythe has since posted online, saying, “I have been found not guilty and acquitted of all charges against me. I am a free man. Please remember the family of Daniel Nosek in your thoughts and prayers in this difficult time. I only wish for them peace. Thank you for your support.”
