System Of A Down’s Tankian Dismisses New Album Talk For The Umpteenth Time
I know most of you don’t care about System of a Down, but some people actually do.
In fact, a lot of people who may not read this site regularly. How awesome would it be that they came here for System of a Down news and left a fan of Scordatura?
Anyways, so, forget what John Dolmayan said over the weekend.
Serj Tankian, who really holds the cards here, is once again claiming any talk of an impending album is as premature as a 13-year-old virgin.
Tankian participated in a Reddit Ask Me Anything session yesterday, and was asked if any progress has been made on the new System of a Down disc.
“We really appreciate [fans desire a new studio release from SOAD], but we have to make a record when we think it’s time, not anyone else,” Serj replied.
“No, that is not true [that we have made plans to begin work on a new records],” he added. “A quick scan of press online will show that we have not yet agreed on a timetable for another record due to its time commitments.”
Basically, Serj has no time for System, as his interests have shifted toward releasing avant-garde bullshit that no one actually listens to.
You’re not Mike Patton, Serj…you can’t do ANYTHING.
You’re better with System. Those solo albums are torture on the old ear drums.
