A Second Disincarnate LP Is In The Works

Disincarnate
Today, one of the site’s commenters mentioned that James Murphy, whose name should be instantly recognizable, has confirmed that a second Disincarnate record is on the way.

To be honest, this news escaped me. Had I see it, I would have reported it. The news comes 20 years after the release of the band’s sole studio release, Dreams of the Carrion Kind.

New Disincarnate music is coming? That is big and exciting news.

I did a little research, and found this interview with Bryan Cegon, Disincarnate’s vocalist.

“I can’t tell you much more [about the new record] than James has already said. It’s still in the preliminary stages,” Bryan says.

“All four original members are on board. Disincarnate is a big part of why I recently moved back to Florida. Tommy Viator will be moving here soon as well,” he says.

There are no song titles yet for the new one, but “there are three or four songs worth of riffs from an old jam room rehearsal tape that Tommy saved and burned for us. The cool thing about this is that we’ll be completing songs we started 20 years ago. I think this album will be an awesome blend of past, present, and future. I can’t wait to start.”

That’s phat.
