Tom Morello Promises Return To Heavy On Next Solo LP
I’d rather that heavy return come in the form of a Rage Against The Machine album, but hey — beggars can’t be choosers.
The Rage Against The Machine guitarist, Mr. Tom Morello, has said his next solo release will be a megabeast.
In this interview, Tom says he’s got new music coming.
“Well I am working on a new solo record, but it might not be titled a Nightwatchman, because this is going to be a heavy rock record,” he says.
“This will be the first time since Rage Against The Machine or Audioslave that I’ve made a really big rock record,” he explains.
Get Devin Townsend to produce it, dude.
“It’s just time to rock and I’ve written a batch of songs with huge riffs and huge grooves,” he explains; “groove” is a word he used to characterize the tunes on that second to last Audioslave joint.
“I’m working it out with my band now and we’re about five songs deep at this point, but we’re taking our time with it. It will definitely be a release the hounds effort.”
