Testament, Clutch, Down Playing Soundwave Festival

The Black Dahlia Murder are also playing
Good morning to you, our Aussie readers. Here’s the good news of the day: The lineup for the Soundwave Festival has been announced, mostly.

So, who’s playing, you ask? I’m excited for you because Testament is playing, as are Clutch and fucking Down, dude.

Rob Zombie’s playing, along with Megadeth, Korn, Alice in Chains, and Avenged Sevenfold.

Stone Temple Pilots are also playing, with Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington at the mic.

The headliner is fucking Green Day, because they’re like the U2 of punk. Everyone needlessly kisses their ass.

Trivium are also on board, with Newsted, AFI, Living Colour, Gwar, Baroness, Asking Alexandria (who are opening for Korn in the states, which made me want to vomit in my sleep), the Black Dahlia Murder, Amon Amarth, 10 Years, Ill Nino, Terror, and TesseracT.

And Your Demise, Volbeat and Whitechapel. Otherwise, you probably don’t care.

The dates for the fest are:

2/22: RNA Showgrounds – Brisbane

2/23: Olympic Park – Sydney

2/28: Flemington Racecourse – Melbourne

3/1: Bonython Park – Adelaide

3/3: Claremont Showgrounds – Perth
