Incarcerated Ex-Bury Your Dead Guitarist Announces Release Date For Solo LP

Eric Ellis
A little inconvenience like being behind bars isn’t going to stop former Bury Your Dead guitarist Eric Ellis from putting out his solo album.

We’ve known the dude was working on one, but, you know, he’s in prison, doing 20 years for conspiracy and violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act as a member of a violent Jacksonville, Florida-based gang.

Still, he will release his solo album, The Weight Of Knowing, on October 15.

The weight of knowing what? How a dick up the poop shoot feels?

What it’s like to get beaten to shit?

You may recall in 2008, he was randomly attacked outside of a Milwaukee venue. He was beaten with bats and a hammer at gunpoint, allegedly as a gang initiation, and he sustained serious injuries and a seizure-inducing concussion.

Two years later, he’s getting arrested and eventually convicted of being part of a gang yourself.

Ironic, a little, know?

In June 2013, Ellis began his appeal to overturn his sentence.
