Tim in court
There is sufficient evidence for the criminal case against As I Lay Dying and Austrian Death Machine frontman Tim Lambesis to proceed, a judge ruled this afternoon.

Lambesis was in San Diego Superior Court in Vista, California, today for a preliminary hearing in his murder-for-hire case.

Tim is alleged to have attempted to hire a hit man to exterminate his estranged wife, providing pictures, gate codes, and convenient times to do the hit.

Today, reports claim a number of witnesses gave testimony, including the undercover detective who Lambesis thought was a hired gun.

The judge was satisfied with the evidence presented against Lambesis, and the matter will head to trial.

There is no word yet on when Lambesis’ trial would begin, but in all likelihood, it’ll be later this year

TheGauntlet reported that detectives stated at today’s hearing that they found dozens of vials of what appeared to be steroids and thousands of dollars in cash in the musician’s bedroom in a lock box.

Deputy Howard Bradley, who posed as the hit man, described the meeting in which Lambesis handed him a manila envelope containing 10, $100 bills and “he told me he wanted his wife gone.”

Bradley testified that Lambesis agreed to pay him $20,000 for the job, and wanted his wife dead because she would get up to 60-percent of his income in their divorce and not allow their children to go on tour with him.

If convicted, Lambesis could face up to nine years in prison.

Lambesis remains free on bail.

Now what do you naysayers and Lambesis defenders have to say. The evidence is good.
