Yeah — because Lars Ulrich and Metallica want to cash in as much as possible, and I guess I can’t blame them.
Lars also says that, in addition to touring with U2, he’d like his band to hit the road with Green Day.
“U2 came to San Francisco two summers ago and we ended up having a lot to drink with them and Green Day following a dinner,” he says.
“I was told in the wee morning hours following this outing that members of U2, Green Day and Metallica agreed to tour together. We haven’t talked about it since, but speaking for myself, I’d be very up for that.”
Who would fucking open?
Who would headline?
Lars in 2010 told some magazine he is “the hugest U2 fan,” saying “I would borderline call myself a groupie, actually.”
It explains quite a lot, actually.
