Ghoul, Cannabis Corpse Releasing Split
Happy Halloween, assholes.
How many of you will be Papa Emeritus for Halloween this year? Most of you, I bet. I will be going out tonight as Daniel Nosek. Easy costume. You just dress normally, throw on a longhaired wig with a head-wound bandage, and mount stages all night inappropriately.
Not as cool as this news, though. This January, Ghoul and Cannabis Corpse will release a split 12-inch fittingly titled Splatterhash.
The effort will boast four tracks in all, and drops on Tankcrimes January 7, 2014.
For their portion of the split, Ghoul returned to Earhammer Studios in Oakland, California, where they recorded both Transmission Zero and Splatterthrash.
Cannabis Corpse recorded at bassist and vocalist Land Phil’s own Blaze of Torment Studios in Richmond, Virginia.
Mastered by Dan Randall at Mammoth Sound and Santa Cruz, California, the split features cover art by Andrei Bouzikov (Municipal Waste, Skeletonwitch, Toxic Holocaust).
The release marks the first Cannabis Corpse material to feature Land Phil on vocals and Brent Purgason (Pustulus Maximus of Gwar) on lead guitar.
Here’s the track listing:
1. The Inhalation Plague (Cannabis Corpse)
2. Shatter Their Bongs (Cannabis Corpse)
3. Inner Sanctum (Ghoul)
4. Spill Your Guts (Ghoul)
