Cannibal Corpse Dish On Next Album

Cannibal Corpse
Yeah, I know.

When is Cannibal Corpse not churning something out.

Take note, though, that Mark Lewis, esteemed producer and cool cat, has been tapped to helm the band’s next studio sessions.

‘Tis phat.

Cannibal Corpse‘s Alex Webster tells Bravewords that the band are due to enter the studio this spring with Mark.

“What I can say is, that in February and March and then into early April, we will be recording. We are going to go into Audio Hammer Studios and have Mark Lewis produce us.”

I may need to go down there to document this.

“We really like a lot of stuff he’s done. We did three great records with my good friend Erik Rutan, he’s one of the best. We felt like, ‘Man, we’ve done three awesome records with him, let’s try doing something different.’ Not because we are displeased with what he’s done — he did a fantastic job — but we just felt like mixing it up.”

Overcompensate, much?

“We’ve been working with Erik since 2005. We thought, ‘That’s a good eight years, let’s give Mark a try for a little while and see how that goes.’ He’s killer.”

So, new Cannibal on the horizon. Stoked.
