Moto G Free Price Comparison and Discount Deals

0

It’s about time that we had a decently powerful smartphone choice for a retail price of under $200.

Motorola brings it to us in the new Moto G, a zippy new smartphone with a powerful feature set but without the exorbitant pricetag that normally accompanies such a device. Samsung, Apple, and HTC, beware – Moto G is coming for your users.

Features

The Moto G runs on a quick Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.2 GHz quad core CPU. Not only that, it is running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, making it competitive with the other much pricier phones on the market. The 4.5 inch display has a 329 pixel per inch density, so while it’s not as lovely as the HTC One, it still gives users a lot to love about its resolution. An onboard microSD slot allows for extra storage to accompany the standard internal 8 GB (a 16 GB version is also available). The rear five megapixel camera features LED flash and fun extras like slow motion video shooting, burst mode, and panorama. Style mavens will appreciate the fun design of the Moto G, particularly the interchangeable (and colorful) backplates. For those who need music but don’t want to pay for it, the Moto G also has a built in FM tuner.

Price Details

The Motorola website currently (as of January 2014) advertises a full retail price of $179, which is a miracle within itself, considering how pricey the competition is. If you go to the Verizon website, the deals get even better. While they advertise a full retail price of $199.99, you can get the Moto G for a mere $99 – and that is without an annual contract. Currently Verizon is the only major carrier featuring the Moto G, but for such a great price at Verizon, why would you want to look elsewhere?

Other places to pick up the Moto G include Amazon, where you can pick up the unlocked 8 GB version for $179. There are two versions of this phone, the US version and the Global version.

Other Notes

If you are in the market for a smartphone that won’t break the bank, the Moto G is a fine choice. While it is not as fast or fancy as the HTC One or Samsung Galaxy S4, it is priced significantly less and will do the job just fine in most cases. This phone is designed to compete with midrange phones, and in this market, it excels. Users looking for a great smartphone with a lot of fun extras and great accessories will love the Moto G. Speaking of add ons, you can pick up a shell for a mere $14.99 or a flip shell for $29.99 – do it, and there will never be any doubt as to which phone is yours in a sea of faceless black numbers.

All in all, the Moto G is a great new phone with a nice sized screen for the right price. Teens, students, and other budget conscious buyers will find it a fantastic addition to the current smartphone selection.
