The Sims 4 Gameplay Features and Release Date
The Sims 4 is an upcoming game that’s part of The Sims series. The Sims is a series of life simulation videogames that was developed by Maxis and later on, developed by The Sims Studio.
The game was published by the Electronic Arts. It is by far one of the most successful videogame series of all time.
As of May 2011, the franchise of the game has already sold more than 150 million copies all over the world. Right now, it is dubbed as the best-selling videogame franchise for PC.
The Sims 4 is the latest game that Sims is yet to release. It will be the fourth installation of the video game series. Although there is no official confirmation from the developer on the actual release date of the game, the Electronic Arts has already talked about the game last May of 2013. According to some rumors, The Sims 4 is set to be released for the Microsoft Windows platform as well as OS X software around the later part of the year, 2014.
Those who are familiar with the previous Sims games should expect a similar concept with The Sims 4. It has pretty much the same concept as that of the previous games. On The Sims 4, the players will be able to control their Sims on various activities and they can even form relationship with one another in a manner that is similar to the real life. The game, just like with the previous Sims series, will not have a definite goal and the gameplay is nonlinear. As of now, there are only limited details about The Sims 4 game, but the developers assured that this game will be as interesting and as adventurous as the previous game installments.
Trailer and Screenshots
As mentioned, the game was brought into the attention of the public last May of 2013. At that time, Electronic Arts has confirmed that they are set to release the fourth installation of The Sims, but they have not given an actual release date during the announcement. But on August of 2013, the developer has released a gameplay demo of The Sims 4 and even showed the public the trailer of the game, via Gamescom.
Before the trailer was released, Gamescom has already allowed the public to have a sneak peek of the game by releasing several screenshots of The Sims 4 which added up to the excitement of The Sims fans. On May of 2013, Electronic Arts also sent an email to several fan sites and on that email, it was stated that there will be a big announcement that will take place regarding the upcoming release of the latest installment of The Sims franchise.
More about the Game
The Sims 4 is developed by both Maxis and The Sims Studio, not like The Sims 3 which was developed alone by The Sims Studio, even if there are some employees from Maxis who also worked on the game. The game also makes the full return of Maxis to develop the main Sims title. Furthermore, Maxis has recently returned to further develop the SimCity right after a long hiatus.
