HTC One 2 (M8) Specs and Features To Rival iPhone 5s and Galaxy S5?
The HTC One mobile has become a big hit in the market, winning various awards which prove that the company could rival Apple’s iPhone 5S as well as Samsung’s Galaxy S5.
And now that the company is planning to launch a new mobile phone which they will call HTC One 2, a lot of people have been eagerly anticipating it.
It will become the next generation mobile phone from HTC and will be the successor of the award winning HTC One. However, only a few details have emerged about this new smartphone. Nevertheless, a lot of fans are dying to know about its specs, features, design, etc.
HTC One will be Launched with Sense 6.0
According to rumors, the new mobile phone from HTC will launch a brand new version of the Sense, which is HTC’s skinned UI. And what the company has confirmed so far is that they will be brining the Android 4.4 KitKat for the new HTC One 2 mobile phone. With this confirmation, it might seem logical that the HTC Sense 6.0 will be running this new version of the Android phone.
There have been no further details on how the UI would look like, but unless HTC will do a design overhaul, fans can expect a more advanced and a much easier version of the current Sense. This could mean an improved BlinkFeed with the integration of some features from Android.
This also means that users will enjoy a much improved Caller ID functionality that makes use of Google Maps and Business Listings in looking for contact information in your mobile if ever the phone won’t be able to recognize the number.
HTC One 2 Specs
According to some leaks, the HTC One 2 could feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 as its processor, along with a 5-inch display screen with 2 GB of RAM. It might also come with Android 4.4 KitKat, as well as a Sense 6.0 and AC connectivity of 802.11.
The rear camera of the new mobile phone will come with the UltraPixel feature and its front camera will have 2.1 megapixels. There are also photos about the new mobile phone that have emerged online and they featured the new device in a blue edition, while the most notable aspect of the images is that the phone comes in a wraparound metal body. Some have also noticed the extra circular hole right above the camera, which many thought to be the one for the fingerprint scanner.
HTC One 2 Will Be Released in 2014
HTC has not yet revealed the release date of the HTC One 2 and there was no confirmation from the company if indeed they are pushing through with the February release as what others have pointed out. But if you are familiar with how the company launched its previous mobile phones, then you know that they would always aim for a February launch date that would coincide with the Mobile World Congress.
