Display

The iPhone 5S sports a 4-inch Retina screen having pixel density of 326 pixels per inch. The multi touch screen display is capable of rendering a resolution of 1136×640 pixels. The 5S display also has a high contrast ratio of 800:1 which is generally equivalent to a contrast ratio of a LED television. The Galaxy S4 sports a super AMOLED screen capable of displaying HD video. The display has a high pixel density of 441 pixels per inch and has the capability of rendering a resolution of 1920 X 1080 pixels.

Hardware and Platform

The iPhone 5S is powered by an A7 chip and a dedicated graphics processor “M7”. The A7 microprocessor in 5S is based on 64 bit architecture. iPhone 5S runs the latest iOS 7 operating system. The Galaxy S4 is available in two variants. The high-end variant is powered by an octa-core microprocessor running at a clock speed of 1.6 GHz while the low-end variant is powered by a quad-core microprocessor with clock speed of 1.9 GHz. The Galaxy S4 runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean which can be upgraded to latest Android 4.3 KitKat OS.
