Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 2014 vs Samsung Galaxy Note 4 – Price and Specs Comparison

Samsung has been in the forefront in launching tablets with big screens. If the trend of devices with large screens such as Note Pro 12.2 continues, laptops may soon become a part of our computing history. The Note Pro 12.2 2014 is considered to be a successor of the Note 10.1 2014 which has a 10-inch display. The Note 4 is a successor to the popular Note 3. Samsung has not revealed specification or release date for Note 4. But the market is rife with rumors and news about the possible specification of the upcoming Note 4. Let’s take a look at the possible specifications of Note 4 and compare it with Note Pro 12.2 2104 which is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2014.
The Note Pro 12.2 is a very large tablet measuring 11.64 inches (H) x 8.0 inches (W) x 0.31 inches (D) and weighing around 753 grams. The Note 4 will be a comparatively smaller device. The Note 4’s dimensions are more likely to be same as the devices having screen size between 6-7 inches.
Samsung has broken all its previous screen size records by introducing Note Pro 12.2 with 12.2 inches screen with multi touch feature. The Note Pro 12.2 2014 display is a super LCD screen with resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. The Note 4 is more likely to have a bigger screen than Note 3 which has a 5.7 inches screen. Samsung has always improved specifications with every new launch of devices and Note 4 display will also have some improvement in resolution and pixel density.
Hardware and Operating system
The Note Pro 12.2 features a 2.3 GHz quad core processor and Adreno 330 GPU fitted on Snapdragon 800 chipset from Qualcomm and 3GB RAM. The device will run the latest Android KitKat OS. The Note Pro will be available in two versions; the low end variant will have 32GB internal storage space while the high end variant will have 64 GB internal storage space. Samsung is testing a new 64-bit architecture processor like the ones fitted in iPhone 5 series and Note 4 might be the first device in the smartphone lineup to have the faster processor. 4GB RAM has become a common feature in high end devices and the Note 4 is more likely to have 4GB or more RAM.
The Note Pro 12.2 will be equipped with an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and auto focus features. Other camera enhancement features includes smile and face detection and geo tagging. If rumors are to be believed, the Note 4 might have a 20-megapixel camera. Samsung is more likely to offer better camera in Note 4 as its rival Sony Electronics has already launched Z1 series which has a 20-megapixel camera, a feature that has made Z1 stand out and more popular.
There is no doubt the Note 4 will bring several new features to the Note lineup. However, these are only speculations and we have to wait until Samsung announces release of Note 4.
