The company sold more than 50 million units of Galaxy S3 worldwide. The galaxy S4 is the successor to the S3 and was released three years after launch of Galaxy S3 in 2010. The super AMOLED screen in S4 has pixel density of 441 ppi and is protected by Gorilla glass from Corning.
The Galaxy S3 features dual cameras; a 8 megapixel camera at the back and 1.9 megapixel camera in the front of the device. The 8 megapixel rear camera has a resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. Galaxy S3 is powered by a Cortex A7 processor clocked at 1.4GHz. The device runs Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS which can be upgraded to JellyBean version. It has 1GB RAM and varied internal storage capacity such as 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB. The storage capacity can be extended up to 64GB through microSD card. Galaxy S4 has far batter hardware configuration than its predecessor. It is powered by a quad core CPU and discrete GPU with clock frequency of 544 MHz.
