Remember MindRider, the smart helmet that offers extra bike safety by reading the brain’s EEG feedback and translating it into an embedded LED display? If you’ve been waiting impatiently for the chance to broadcast your emotions and level of concentration when riding your bike, we have exciting news for you!The team behind MindRider is seeking volunteering riders (cyclists or skaters) who’d be thrilled to try on the MindRider helmet at upcoming New York City events, listed below:
- Bike to Work party, May 16
- Tour de Brooklyn, June 1
- MindRider mapping of MIT (Cambridge, MA) mid-June
- Tour de Queens, July 7
if you want to join, or if you have a favorite bike/skate shop, or event that would be interested in the project, just send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
In other news, MindRider is going to get a crowdfunding campaign, starting in June! We don’t know much about it, but we know for sure that over the last few months, the helmet and its application have gone through several iterations. The team is so excited with the progress, they published two photos of their hard work, see below.
Stay tuned for more details.
