The Steam Summer Sale 2014 is almost over and based on your location, you might have to scurry up to bag some of those last minute deals.

It has been a tradition for Valve to sum up all the best deals of the week on the last day of the sale and if you are quick enough, it might be still open for you to make some purchases. This year it wasn’t as great as it always used to be, but there were still plenty of noteworthy deals and games that are good to add to your collection. Make sure that you don’t have too much backlog now, because within another two or three months’ time, there are at least a dozen great games coming in this fall to keep you entertained.

For those of you who were not in the run, here’s a breakdown of the best games available that you could grab. And, even if you miss the sale when you read this, you might still have a chance to go at the flash sales which are usually retained for another day or so to keep draining your wallets. Most PC gamers are known for deal hunting. The website Cheap Sharks is a great place where you can setup alerts for titles you love and an e-mail will be sent to you whenever the game goes on sale from any retailer, be it Amazon, Gog or Steam.

The Hottest Sales

Dishonored is a notable title which is being sold for a mere $4.99. The title has won multiple awards and is one of the crowd favorite ever since its launch in 2012. The game has received multiple DLCs which you can grab hold of with the Game of the Year edition. Compared to other console versions, the PC is visually impressive and gives you complete control over the graphic settings. The next in the series will be Civilization 5 which is the newest iteration of this RPG. The game is priced at $7.49 but for a few more dollars you can grab hold of the DLCs including the Brave New World as well as the Gods & Kings. After having a fair share of fun with these titles, it’s time to revisit history and experience the cult classic hit Tomb Raider in all its glory. The new game is quite different from the old ones and good in many ways. It is a title that looks visually great and has game play elements that will keep you glued to the screen for hours together. The game is available for $4.99 and it is without a doubt the best Lara Croft title that you can experience in recent times.

We also have Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition priced at $6.79 and The Wolf Among Us at $8.49. On the whole, it was not a grand but a worthy sale this summer. The Steam Summer Sale 2014 also witnessed some good titles at exorbitant discounts including The Witcher 2, Arma 3, Far Cry 3, Dark Souls, Xcom Enemy Unknown, Metro Last Light Complete Collection, The Stanley Parable, Brothers a Tale of Two Sons among many others.
