In this article, we’re comparing two exes. Kidding. No, we’re comparing two X’s from Nokia, more precisely the Nokia XL and the Nokia X, which were released in February. They are both Dual-Sim smartphones that come in cheerful colors and with great hardware. So, the Nokia X is better than the X+, but the XL is better than both of these models. Let’s take a look at their specs.

Displays, designs and sizes

The Nokia X has a 4inches IPS LCD display which renders a resolution of 480x800pixels – the same as Nokia XL’s 5inches IPS LCD display. As for the pixel density, it seems that the XL supports only 187ppi, a lot lower compared to X’s 233ppi.

In terms of designs, both of the phones have plastic back covers and give you the impression that they are solid. Well, the XL is bigger and heavier, and it’s kind of uncomfortable to hold it in one hand, since it weights 190grams and its thickness is of 0.43inches. The Nokia X weights 129grams and is 0.41inches thick.

Hardware and OS

You’ll find the 1GHz dual-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon S4) ARM Cortex-A5 processor on both Nokia models, only that the Nokia X has 512MB of RAM, and its sibling has 768MB of RAM. Also, they both host 4GB of internal memory – expandable up to 32GB, and run on Nokia X 1.0 UI.

Cameras and Batteries

The Nokia XL has a slightly better primary camera – 5MP (LED flash) + a 2MP front camera, while the Nokia X has only a 3MP rear camera.

As for the batteries, the Nokia X has a Li-Ion 1500mAh battery, which allows you to talk 13hours, while Nokia XL’s battery has a higher capacity – 2000mAh, which allows you to talk 16hours. In stand by mode, Nokia XL’s battery lasts 30 days – 13 more than Nokia X’s battery.

Both of these Nokia models support USB charging, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and mobile hotspot.
