Nexus 5 vs Nexus 4 vs Nexus S vs Galaxy Nexus vs Nexus One – Side by Side Test and Comparison
If you’re curious about the differences between the devices that belong to the Nexus series from Google – here’s a test and comparison between the five handsets to show exactly that.
If you are a tech geek and always checking up on sites that cover up stories on technology, you know that when a new device reaches the market, everyone jumps to make a full spec analysis. The Nexus 5 had itself a number of these analyses, but today we thought we would bring you something a tad different: a comparison of the device with all its predecessors to see what changes have been made since the first one.
That brings us to the first Nexus device ever released: the Nexus One which was the result of a partnership between Google and HTC. In 2010, when the device was released, people were very pleased with the new handset – so Google has been releasing a Nexus device every single year making partnerships not only with HTC, but with Samsung and LG as well. Not only did Google release other 4 Nexus devices, but as well a clean operating system from the Mountain View labs.
The idea originated from PhoneBuff, who created the video below. The video is a comparison between Google’s Nexus One, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S, Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 to help figure out which one would be the best choice for the usual user – more of a practical comparison rather than just specs and price. The creator makes a compelling case presentation for every device to find out exactly which one is better.
While the tasks were not the usual tests (for example: playing the Temple Run 2 game, to establish the performance of the device), Nexus 5 – the last device to be released – did have the best results, with the Nexus 4 next in line.
