Assassin’s Creed Unity Will Push Xbox One and PS4 to Its Limits

0

We are finally glad to hear that a next gen game is going to push the new generation of consoles to its maximum limit and take full advantage of the hardware that it has to offer.

After all, people upgraded from a seven year old Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 only to experience better worlds, realistic characters and more importantly a game play experience that is on par when you are in a time where virtual reality is becoming so common. Even though, VR is not every gamer’s cup of tea and Sony might take another two year or so to bring out Morpheus, it is important that games look and act like they are made for 2014.

Assassin’s Creed Unity from Ubisoft is going to be one such title according to the developers that is going to utilize all the power that the new generation consoles have to offer. This doesn’t mean that the developers were talking about 1080p and 60 FPS glory because things could vary on each console, based on the best that it could offer. Recently, the game Sniper Elite 3 was compared on Playstation 4 and Xbox One. It showed significant issues on the Microsoft console but players say that a simple patch and turning Vsync on could help the issue. Later, the same was run on a PC at 1080p resolution that was visually better but only to a small extent.

Unity Is For Next Gen

In the Ubisoft blog, the company CEO Yves Guillemot confidently claimed that people are actually going to get blown away by the visuals that Assassin’s Creed Unity is going to offer. In fact, recent tests have shown that the new consoles are on par with most PCs of the modern era and might hold off good for at least a couple of years, with bit of sacrificing some visuals here and there. Nevertheless, that’s not a big deal when you can actually buy a console for a cheap price and play in the comfort of your couch without having to fend off with a complex PC.

“It is a game that is going to take full advantage of the next gen consoles. The title will be a great demonstration that is going to show what these machines can actually do and people will be amazed with its final quality. We are confident that people didn’t expect these consoles to be so powerful to show the level of graphics and animation that we have brought out of it. The number of characters than can move on screen at the same time is phenomenal and multiple other updates are going to create a new beginning for the brand with new possibilities.”

The New Era of Games

Assassin’s Creed Unity will not be the only game that is going to take full advantage and demonstrate the power of Playstation 4 and Xbox One consoles. According to developer blogs, titles such as Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, Far Cry 4 among many others are vying to be on the top. AC Unity launches on October 28.
