Oppo Find 7 vs Asus Zenfone 6 – Pricing and Best Specs Comparison

As the technology advances, new brands arise like mushrooms after the rain, offering their best products and trying to compete with other known companies. Asus created a lineup of Zenfone smartphones and no. 6 reached the markets in May. Oppo is still struggling to exit the shadows and if you ask us, both companies made some impressive smartphones, with high end specs and features and their prices are very high.

Displays and sizes

The Asus Zenfone 6 has a plastic body and it’s available in four color options: white, black, red and gold. It has a massive screen of 6inches (IPS), so it can be considered a phablet. The rendered resolution is 720x1280pixels, but the pixel density is kind of low at 245ppi. Though, you won’t complain about the image quality. The sizes of the Zenfone 6 are: 166.9×84.3×9.9mm and it weights 196grams. Like the Find 7, it features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top of its screen.

As for the Oppo device, it is made of plastic also, but it has a brilliant aspect. The 5.5inches screen is IPS LCD and it has light and proximity sensors, plus a HD resolution of 1440x2560pixels. The pixel density is very high at 534ppi. The dimensions of this phone are 152.6x75x9.2mm and it’s 28grams lighter than the Zenfone 6.

Hardware and OS

The Asus phablet is powered by a dual-core 2GHz processor, based on a Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chipset and it uses a PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU, being helped by the 1 or 2GB of RAM. It has three expandable variants of built in storage with these capacities: 8/16/32GB. With a microSD card, you get up to 64GB of internal storage. The OS of the Zenfone 6 is Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean), but it’s upgradeable to the 4.4.2 (KitKat) version.

The Find 7 is incredibly fast thanks to its quad-core 2.5GHz Krait 400 processor, which teams up with a Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chipset and an Adreno 330 GPU. It hosts 32GB of internal storage – expandable up to 128GB and 3GB of RAM and it runs on the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with ColorOS UI on top of it.

Cameras

Both phones have advanced shooters with the resolution of 13MP, sharing common features such as autofocus, geo tagging, touch focus, panorama, face detection and video recording at 1080p@30fps. In addition, the Find 7 offers video recording at 2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps and 720p@120fps and has dual LED flash and HDR. The secondary camera on the Zenfone 6 is weaker, of 2MP, while the Otto smartphone features a 5MP camera on the front for video conferences.

Batteries

The Zenfone 6 hosts a non-removable Li-Po 3300mAh battery, while the Find 7 has a Li-Po 3000mAh removable battery which it seems to be running out of juice fast.

The Zenfone 6 32GB variant is available on amazon.com at this price: 358 dollars. The Otto Find 7 is priced at 620 dollars.
