Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Vs Sony Xperia T3 – Specs, Features and Prices Review
The battle rages on, as manufacturers work to create the next big smartphone device.
Sony and Samsung have been forerunners in the smartphone market. This is because of their ability to offer high quality smartphones that come with amazing features. They are among the pacesetters in the industry.
The Sony Xperia T3 is one of the latest smartphones under the Sony Company. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has been in the market for quite a long time. How exactly do these two phones compare or differ?
The Sony Xperia T3
This is an upper mid-range smartphone that comes in a stainless steel frame with a 5.3 inch screen with a 1280×720 tri-luminous display. This seems like a downside considering the screen has been one of Sony’s selling points in the recent past. Even so, the build is something to talk about, as it comes with a premium edge in a slim and light-weight look. This phone weighs 148g and measures 150.7x77x7mm.
The Sony Xperia T3 is also powerful as it is powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor and has 1GB RAM. The phone comes with an 8MP camera that features Mobile Exmor RS, which comes bundled with Sony Shooting Mode – Social Wave and Timeshift Burst. The phone comes with a 2500 mAh battery that allows up to 12hours, 46 minutes talk time.
Overall, this phone does not look bad on paper. However, the features can be deceiving, as it all comes down to the cost of the phone. It is expected to retail at $577.76 with an estimated release date of 24th July 2014. It will be available in black, white and purple.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3
This smartphone was released in October 2013. Not only is it a big phone, but it is also super-fast and bold. It comes in 5.7 inch display and a battery life that goes the distance. This phone comes in a sleek design, which is better than that of its predecessor. It also features a stylus pen, which is not featured in the T3, and an amazing camera, similar to the one found in the S4.
In a nutshell, the Note 3 comes with improved features, a powerful processor, and a built-in app for news that is powered by Flipboard Tech. This phone is available for approximately $600 in the US.
How Do They Compare?
Without a doubt, both phones are state of the art phones but one can’t help but notice that the Note 3 has an edge over the Sony T3. The Note 3 is slightly bigger than the T3 in terms of dimensions and screen size as it measures 151.20 x 79.20 x 8.30 while the T3 measures 150.70 x 77.00 x 7.00 in mm. The Note 3 also has a higher battery capacity meaning it offers more talk time. The Note 3 also has a processor that is more powerful than the T3 and also has a larger storage capacity.
Generally, the Galaxy Note 3 is a bigger phone than the T3 in terms of performance and size.
