The HTC One comes with a great design feature that the other two don’t have: a metallic body which gives a plus in elegance. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a metallic frame which also makes it look sleek, but not as polished as HTC’s smartphone. Even though the HTC One is a better looking phone, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes with a stronger processor so let’s take a closer look at what these two and the HTC Butterfly S have to offer and figure out which one would be the best buy.
All three handsets come with a display which renders a full HD resolution of 1080 pixels. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has the largest display of them all, measuring 5.7 inches, followed by the HTC Butterfly S which has a 5 inches display and lastly the HTC One with a 4.7 inches display.
As for processor, Samsung gives us two versions of the Galaxy Note 3: the basic one which is powered up by a Snapdragon 800 chipset from Qualcomm and a HSPA+ version which is powered by an Exynos 5 Octa chipset. The HTC Butterfly S and the HTC One come with less powerful processor, which is paired up with the Snapdragon 600 chipset from Qualcomm.
The HTC Butterfly S comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory which can be expanded via microSD card. The other two smartphones don’t support a microSD card slot, which means the memory is not expandable. HTC makes up for that by bringing two options of internal storage capacity: 32 GB and 64 GB. As for RAM, the device also comes with 2 GB. Samsung have overdone themselves by giving its phablet 3 GB of RAM and a couple of options of internal memory: 32 GB and 64 GB.
Regarding the primary camera, the Note 3 comes with the best camera, a 13 MP model, while the other two both bring a 4 Ultrapixel camera. As for secondary camera, the HTC devices both come with 2.1 MP cameras, while the South Korean company Samsung brings out only a 1.9 MP model.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is bundled with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean which is a higher version of operating system than what the HTCs have: Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Nonetheless, people are expecting HTC to bring Android 4.3 Jelly Bean to the HTC One and HTC Butterfly S sometime soon.
