Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 vs Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 – Comparison of Screen and Display

0

Samsung Electronics has established itself as the leading smartphone manufacturer in the mobile industry.

The Korean giant caught the pulse of the masses that sought budget friendly smartphones. In the present times, there is none to compete with the Korean giant. The monopoly it has set in the market is hard to beat. Regardless, other smartphone manufacturers have not given up their arms; they are still coming out with all guns blazing every now and then. However, in the tablet department, Samsung lacked the razor edge. The company has been trying hard in the tablet department, releasing new tablets on regular intervals.

By releasing the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, the company hoped to make a change for itself. However, that was not the case meant to be. The Tab 2 7.0 is easily affordable at $250 and comes equipped with updated specs to stay in the tablet race. The additions made to the hardware determine how the handset would fare in the day to day affair. However, Samsung has released a competitively priced tablet, to find rewarding results for themselves.

In comparison, the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is a third-gen tablet from the Korean giant. However, expecting a world of innovations from the tablet would be a false hope. Among the other enhancements made to the handset, the thinner bezels are a notable improvement, which makes the device easier to hold.

Let us compare the two tablets in terms of display to determine the enhancements made to the screen of the Tab 3 7.0 device.

Display

Similar to the original Galaxy Tab, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 comes equipped with a 7-inch screen, having a 1024 x 600 pixels resolution. As a result, the screen provides a picture density of 170-ppi, which is poor by all standards. The Super PLS LCD technology used in the screen appears to be fabulous, but not enough to appeal to the users. The display might be pleasant to look at, sporting natural colors and great viewing angles, but it offers a poor viewing experience in sunlight.

In comparison, the similar 7-inch display of the Tab 3 7.0 comes with a similar resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, as that of the Tab 2 7.0. No changes have been made whatsoever in terms of display to the Tab 3 7.0. The colors are lively and viewing angles wide, similar to that of the Tab 2 7.0 device.
