Brace yourself; because it just can’t be comprehended whether it is good to be a PC gamer or not. On the one hand, you can be glad that GTA 5 PC is not cancelled, as rumored earlier, but on the other side, it is not going to get released, in 2014 as planned.

The game’s release date has been announced and it is set a good couple of months away.

The big news is that it is going to arrive on the platform as the last entrant on January 27, 2015. That’s definitely a late arrival, compared to the promise Rockstar made, because it was a fall release earlier. However, the new gen Playstation 4 and Xbox One versions will get released on November 18 as planned without any delay. Are they pushing PC players to the farthest corners? Or does it really take so much time to port the game properly?

Promised New Features

As if to compensate for the delay in release date, GTA 5 PC is said to be filled with some extensive features that won’t be available on any of the other platforms. It is going to be visually superior as we know already because of the increased hardware power in the computers. There will be some technical upgrades as well, which we can rate, once we play the game.

The draw distance will be much higher than console versions. Given the wide scale of the Grand Theft Auto game, we assume that this would look really good when you can see a mountain in the distance and be able to travel to reach it. Similarly, there will be additional wildlife according to the statement made by Rockstar in their official forum. They haven’t specified the type of animals but we do assume it will be denser and maybe some exclusives added to the PC version.

Enhanced Damage and Weather Effects

Since the reduced quality of Watch Dogs, gamers are a bit intimidated by these weather effects. But, once again GTA 5 PC promises to deliver an enhanced damage level and weather effects that add realism to the game. It wasn’t that real on the Playstation 3 or Xbox 360, because of the age old hardware. Once the Xbox One and PS4 version lands, we can assume the level of quality to expect on a PC. Let’s hope it’s a good port that doesn’t lag, works promptly and delivers a great player experience.
