Rockstar’s leaked web page, which has now been removed, claims that GTA 5 is going to get a first person mode for the first time in select missions.
Some time ago, a modder tried to rig into the game on the Playstation 3 platform and showed how the game would look, if viewed from a first person perspective. It didn’t look that great; but the experience was new.
If rumors are to be believed, the Playstation 4, Xbox One and the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 will have an official version of the same. As they say it is for select missions, we can easily understand that it is a wise choice because not all missions will look great in this perspective. According to the updated page, it is said that the first person mode will be used for players who can go on foot as well as in vehicles to ride through the city. Some more interesting information can be found below.
While we already know that GTA 5 on next gen consoles and PC would have better draw distances and graphics, it was confirmed in the page as well. The content claims that the game will increase draw distances, finer texture details with better resolutions that will bring a new lease of life to the cities, towns as well as the oceans of the Rockstar imagined version of Southern California.
The GTA Online version is going to get significant updates as well, because a whole lot of new content, missions and objectives have been created for the multiplayer version. As they are already available on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 version of the game, it will automatically be transferred to the new edition. Apart from those that are already available, there will be a wide range of new weapons, vehicles and properties along with player customization options. Rockstar hasn’t revealed any specific details on this topic, but we expect them to be rolled out soon before the official release date.
Special FPS Features
The website also revealed that the first person mode in GTA 5 will bring new perspective for vehicles, where you will be able to see from a first person view. It will have additional stuff including working speedometers, dash lights and tachometers among other things usually found inside a vehicle. You will also come across multiple random Easter eggs and random events in the story mode. There will be an entire range of animals in Los Santos but we don’t know yet if they will make it to GTA online as well. Let’s see!
