It’s been a very successful release for Apple so far with its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus flagship devices. The two handsets come with high end features that managed to break record sales as early as its first weekend, with 10 million copies sold already. The analysts predicted a successful release of Apple’s new device, and that is exactly what happened. Now, analysts are saying that the road to ultimate dominance over the smartphone market might not be so easy for Apple, as it can expect some competition out of the Samsung Galaxy S6.

There are rumors that claim the Galaxy S6 is on its way and will be released pretty soon. It presumably comes with some cool features that will steal the attention away from Apple’s device. Whether that’s true or not, you can pretty much expect the Galaxy S6 from Samsung to come packing enough of a punch to give Apple and the iPhone 6 a run for their money. In anticipation of the battle that will take quite soon, as some believe, we give you this smartphone comparsion between the aforementioned devices.

Design

Apple introduce a thinner body and round edges for its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, but other than that, the design pretty much looks the same as it did with earlier models like the Phone 5S or iPhone 4.It has an aluminum unibody that raise the premium look considerably.

The recently release Samsung Galaxy Alpha marked the debut of Samsung using a metal finish on its devices. There are speculations about a possible metal chassis for the new Galaxy S6 that would definitely raise the build quality level.

Display

The new Samsung Galaxy S6 will reportedly feature a very large display featuring the Super AMOLED technology, with a 4K pixel resolution, that will clearly be better than the Galaxy S5’s screen. Meanwhile, Apple’s iPhone comes with a full HD, 4.7 inch screen.

Hardware

The iPhone 6 will use the A8 processor, built on a 64-bit architecture, There is also a 64-bit architecture involved allegedly for the spec list of the new Galaxy S6, which is reported to have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808, or Snapdragon 810. The graphics will be supported by the Adreno 430 GPU that assures users of high resolution media.

While Samsung is believed to come with its regular large storage options, on top of a microSD card support, the iPhone 6 benefits from large battery options. The phone comes with 16, 32 or 128 GB.

The battery that will accompany the new Samsung device will supposedly sustain the device’s life for 30% longer. On the iPhone 6, you can get up to 14 hours.

Conclusion

One coming with iOS8, while the other one uses Android 5.0, the two devices share similar characteristic bu are also very different. Each features its own set of strong points. Even though we don’t  have anything official yet, the Galaxy S6 will definitely have a fighting chance against the iPhone 6.
