Samsung Galaxy Note 4 vs LG G3 – Price and Features Comparison
These phablets are very different from each other, internally and externally, but the Note 4 is yet to be released worldwide and the fans need to do a little research before buying this device. And we’re here to satisfy your curiosities.
Displays, designs and sizes
The designs of these flagships are very different and in opinion, the metallic look of the LG G3 is more elegant than Note 4’s faux leather from the back panel. The women will surely be more attracted to the LG G3, and the men will want the big black Note 4. But there also other variants of colors for the Samsung phablet: pink, white and gold. Both phones are using Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to protect their screens.
As for the displays and their sizes, the Note 4 comes with a Super AMOLED display of 5.7inches, whose resolution is 1440x2560pixels, while the pixel density stands at 515ppi. The LG G3 has a True HD-IPS + LCD display of 5.5inches with the same resolution, but because the screen is smaller, the pixel density is denser, of 534ppi.
The Note 4 weights 176grams and measures 153.5×78.6×8.5mm, while the LG G3 is lighter and thicker, measuring 146.3×74.6×8.9mm and weighting 149grams.
Hardware and OS
Note 4’s hardware components are composed of a Krait 450 processor with 4 cores, clocked at 2.7GHz, which couples with an Adreno 420 GPU, while the chipset is Qualcomm Snapdragon 805. The 3GB of RAM are speeding up the processor and help the Android v4.4.4 (KitKat) OS to run fast and the games not to freeze while you’re playing. The internal storage is quite enough at 32GB, but you can make it even bigger, of 128GB.
The LG G3 comes with a Krait 400 processor, also with four cores, but clocked at 2.5GHz. It couples with an Adreno 330 GPU and stays comfortably on a Qualcomm MSM8975AC Snapdragon 801 chipset along with 2GB or 3GB of RAM. The 2GB variant has 16GB of internal storage, while the 3GB variant comes with 32GB of storage, but both of them can be expanded up to 128GB. This model comes loaded with Android v4.4.2 (KitKat).
The LG G3 has a weaker back camera of 13MP and features such as dual-LED flash, phase detection/laser autofocus, optical image stabilization, HDR etc. The front camera is 2.1MP and can record videos at 1080p@30fps. Note 4’s back camera is 16MP ISOCELL and has optical image stabilization, LED flash, autofocus, HDR, dual shot, geo tagging etc. The selfie lovers will be happy o find out that the front camera on this deice is 3.7MP.
The Note 4, as well as the LG G3, has a user replaceable battery whose capacity is 3,220 mAh, relatively bigger than LG’s 3000 mAh battery.
