In this comparison we are taking the new Apple flagship and some of the best devices of the year to see which can blow the iPhone 6’s hype. They all feature premium specifications and features and can be considered worthy opponents not only for the iPhone, but for anything you throw at them.
Design and Display
Apple iPhone 6
The iPhone 6 features a slim design with round edges and a flat body. The device has a Home button on the front panel that also houses the fingerprint scanner. The body has a two-tone finish that seems to work great for the handset. Its display measures 4.7 inches and brings with it a resolution of 750 x 1333 and a 326 ppi pixel density. The screen, which benefits of great performance in terms of viewing angles, is protected by shatterproof glass that makes sure it’s not easy to crack.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4
Samsung’s new flagship phablet features Galaxy S5-like characteristics in terms of design. The body of the handset features very thin bezels while the back is covered in a leather-like material that gives it a very classy appearance. Next to the camera on the back, the device features the LED flash and the heart rate monitor. On the front, the main attraction is the QHD display that measures 5.7 inches and uses a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1440. The pixel density is great, 515 ppi.
Sony Xperia Z3
The Z3 follows in the footsteps of other Xperia Z device before it and comes with large bezels and a glossy back cover that also houses the camera and LED flash. The front panel only features capacitive touch keys and the large display. The display in question measures 5.2 inches and comes with a 424 ppi pixel density
The iPhone 6, says GSM Arena, features a dual core processor branded as the A8 chip made by Apple. The processing unit is clocked at 1.4 GHz and is paired with 1 GB of RAM and the M8 co-processor. The hardware department is a little disappointing for those expecting the iPhone 6to burst of premium components.
Samsung’s premium device, the Note 4, comes with an octa core processor. The Exynos 5433 features two quad core configurations that use 1.3 and 1.9 GHz processing units. The RAM capacity is great, 3 GB, and in combination with the processor adds up to a very smooth and satisfying user experience.
The Xperia Z3 also features 3 GB of RAM. As for the processor, it comes with the Snapdragon 801 SoC. The graphics are handled by the Xperia Z2’s GPU which is the Adreno 330.
The 8 MP shooter on the rear of the iPhone 6 is combined with a 1.2 MP lens on the front panel. The device is capable of shooting 240 fps slow motion video, as well as 30 or 60 fps normal video.
The Note 4 features a 16 MP camera which also comes with some great features such as dual shot. The front facing camera is pretty impressive, with 3.7 MP under its belt, assuring great quality pictures.
Last but not least we have the Xperia Z3 which uses a 20.7 MP camera as its main lens, while the secondary camera has 2.2 MP. Needless to say, the quality of the photos and video you capture with this device is more than satisfying.
