OneTouch Idol X+ vs Canvas 4 Plus vs Vibe X2 vs Honor 6 – The Battle Between Easy Smartphones

0

The Indian market is oversaturated with Indian and Chinese phones, but the fans love them and they’re willing to spend lots of money on a high end device. But there is the other category that hunts mid-range smartphones, and Lenovo, Huawei, Alcatel and Micromax fulfilled their wishes. Here are four smartphones that might draw your attention.

Displays and dimensions

While all four devices are equipped with 5inches displays, the only smartphone with an AMOLED screen is the Canvas 4 Plus and its resolution is lower at 720×1280 pixels, with a pixel density of 294ppi. The rest of its opponents have IPS LCD displays with 1080×1920 pixels screen resolution and 441ppi pixel density or higher at 445ppi (Honor 6). For now, we don’t know the dimensions of Micromax’s Canvas 4 Plus handset, but between the other three devices, the Vibe X2 is the thinnest at 7.3mm, while the Idol X+ is the thickest at 7.9mm and the tallest, at the same time, measuring 140.4mm, compared to 139.6mm – Honor 6. The lightest smartphone is the Vibe X2 – 120grams, while the Honor 6 is 10grams heavier.

Hardware and OS

As we were saying, all four smartphones come with octa core processors. Except for the Honor 6, which is powered by a combination of a quad-core 1.7GHz Cortex-A15 CPU and a quad core 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 CPU, the other three devices have a an octa core Cortex-A7 processor. The Vibe X2 and the Idol X+ have their processors clocked at 2GHz, but the first device is using a newer MediatTek MT6595m True8Core chipset, while the other has a Mediatek MT6592 chipset. The Canvas 4 Plus comes with an octa core processor clocked at 1.7GHz, which is backed by the same MediaTek MT6592 chipset. The Honor 6 is using a HiSilicon Kirin 920 chipset.

The Canvas 4 Plus is definitely the weakest competitor here, having only 1GB of RAM and its internal memory has a capacity of 16GB, but it can be doubled with a microSD card. The Vibe X2 and the Idol X+ have 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which is optional on the Idol X+, which by default comes with 16GB of internal memory. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to expand their memories. And the most privileged device is the Honor 6, which houses 3GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB of storage, allowing you to expand the internal memory up to 64GB.

All four devices run on the Android platform. The Vibe X2 comes with v4.4 (KitKat), the Idol X+ has v4.2.1 (Jelly Bean) but it allows you to upgrade to v4.4.4 (KitKat) and the other two phones still run on v4.4.2 (KitKat).

Cameras

The Idol X+ has a 13.1MP back camera and the rest of the phones have their main shooters with a resolution of 13MP. Only the Honor 6 has dual-LED flash, but likewise the Vibe X2 and the Canvas 4 Plus, it provides another 5MP camera on the front. The Idol X+ has the weakest front camera of 2MP.

Batteries

In descending order of capacities, the first position is occupied by the Honor 6 with a 3100mAh, being followed by the Idol+ with a 2500mAh battery, the Vibe X2 has a 2300mAh battery and lastly, the Canvas 4 Plus offers a 2000mAh battery.

Prices

The Lenovo X2 and Honor 6 have the same price of 323 dollars, the Onetouch Idol X+ costs 275 dollars and the Canvas 4 Plus is 20 dollars cheaper.
