Candy Crush Saga vs. Candy Crush Soda Saga – Quenching the Thirst for Fun
A Runaway Hit
Candy Crush Soda Saga is a new game following the runaway hit from King, Candy Crush Saga. It is also a free game, but there are some additional items in the game, as well as extra moves that you may have to pay for. The original game, Candy Crush Saga, was released in 2012 by King and was first available through Facebook. Later, it was also available as a mobile application and could be played on smartphones. It is still a very popular game and has more than 46 million users on a monthly basis. Candy Crush Soda Saga is a slight variation of this popular game. Both the games are based on a match three basis, similar to Bejeweled. Each of the levels contains instructions for completing a particular goal, reaching a particular score, bringing down a particular ingredient or making a particular match and so on.
Release of Candy Crush Soda Saga
The sequel, Candy Crush Soda Saga, was released in May of 2014 and comes with a similar design. The gameplay is slightly different and it has a soda bottle, capable of shifting gravity. At present, the game comes with 120 levels. The Facebook version of this sequel was released in October of 2014 and its mobile application was recently released in the middle of November. The new game does not differ much from its previous sibling, and you still have to match three or more candies over the levels.
Soda Soaked Surroundings
The new Candy Crush Soda Saga, as its name implies, is set in an environment that is soda soaked. The fizzy drink makes the candies float around and not fall as they used to do in the original game Candy Crush Saga. This is one of the changes of the new game. However, there are some other minor differences that hard-core fans of the game will surely be able to detect. There are a few elements that are quite different from the older sibling. The Candy Bears, for instance, are a new element. It might take some time to get used to the new game and features, but players will soon be able to develop the correct strategy to win the levels.
Different Levels – Frozen, Bubble, Chocolate Levels
Both Candy Crush Saga and the new Candy Crush Soda Saga come with different levels, where the player has to make use of different strategies for completing the objectives set out in the level. In case of the new game, Candy Crush Soda Sage, you have to use soda bottles for leveling up. Players need to get a certain number of bottles for completing the level successfully. In addition, there are also some frosted levels, where the player has to break the ice and search for bears under the ice. Once he is able to find all the bears under the frozen ice, he or she can move up towards the next level.
These levels involve a candy string, where the player has to bring the bears to rise over the necklace made of candy. In addition, there are chocolate levels with limited number of moves. The chocolates have to be eliminated and they keep multiplying, almost similar to the previous game, Candy Crush Saga. The honey levels are those where the honey blocks the bears and you have to remove the honey in order to get the bears free.
Candy Crush Saga is an immensely successful game from King and has set the bar really high. Candy Crush Soda Saga is all set to break this record and players of the game might love the variation presented in the newer sibling. The new game is also very challenging and interesting and offers something special for its fans once more.
