This month, Rockstar has released GTA V on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while the PC version is expected in early 2015.
This “next-gen” release was long awaited by fans, but there is still one important feature that the game is missing, a feature that users were hoping to get with the next-gen release – Heists update DLC. Rockstar has not yet confirmed the release date of the update.
Last week, GTA servers went offline for maintenance, making gamers report connectivity issues that were troubling the game for the last couple of days. Usually, maintenances take place before major update. The PS4 and Xbox One version of the game received patch updates that should improve stability of the GTA Online, while the PS3 and Xbox 360 received patches which managed to fix player vehicle glitches. Considering that the patches rolled out on all systems, the question is, will the 1.19 Heist update roll out soon?
According to numerous sources, the updates were rolled out in order to fix account transfer issues, as well as the migration issues. Some players that are playing the game on next-gen consoles have discovered glitches which allowed them to have a couple million dollars in GTA V after they have transferred their accounts from last-gen to next-gen. The patches rolled out to solve gameplay issues in GTA Online, and to possibly prepare the terrain for the anticipated Heists update.
Rockstar did officially confirm that the next major update will revolve around Heists, but they haven’t released any information as to when the update might be expected. It’s hard to predict when the update might roll out since Rockstar didn’t give any hints, and the fact that there isn’t any “pattern” regarding the patch rollout doesn’t help. Some tipsters have previously revealed some major source code leaks which revealed details on future updates. However, it is unlikely that we are going to see a major update within the next few weeks.
