Lumia 830

The phone was released in September and it’s one of the smartphones that couldn’t exceed the threshold of 5inch in screen size, but it’s at the limit. So, the display is IPS LCD (ClearBlack) and protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, supporting a resolution above average, representing 720×1280 pixels and with a pixel density of 294ppi, which will provide decent viewing angles. The dimensions of this handset are 139.4×70.7×8.5 mm and it weights 150grams, featuring a colorful plastic back panel with a metal frame with flat sides and slightly rounded corners. Under the removable shell you’ll find a user replaceable battery of 220mAh, which should provide up to 15 hours of talk time on 3G. Back on the back panel, you’ll see the 10MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics, LED flash, optical image resolution and autofocus, which uses PureView technology, and on the front panel you’ll get only a 0.9MP camera which records videos at 720p. The phone is powered by a quad core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 processor backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, and couples with an Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM. There’s a variant of internal memory of 16GB, expandable up to 128GB, while the OS is Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1.

It comes with a 5inches AMOLED display, also ClearBlack, but which is capable to support a higher resolution of 1080×1920 pixels with 441ppi, and uses Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection against scratches. Although it came two months earlier than the Lumia 830, it really offers spectacular specifications, being powered by a quad core 2.2GHz Krait 400 processor supported by a powerful Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 chipset and has Adreno 330 graphics and 2GB of RAM. The internal memory has a capacity of 32GB, and the device doesn’t support a microSD card slot.
