While you wait for the huge and mesmerizing The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt to launch on your favorite platforms, the developers at CD Projekt RED has come up with an all new digital board game inspired by the Witcher universe.

The game is now available on multiple platforms including Google’s Android OS, Apple iOS, and PC through Steam as well as GOG purchase platforms.

If you have been wondering whether it would appeal as much as the original game, you don’t have to worry at all because it has been developed from scratch by the same people who created the original title. Everything right from the characters to the fantasy world and their powers have been created with utmost detail. If you find it not a great fit for PC, there is always the option to go mobile because this should be your perfect title for long rides on your Apple iPad or maybe any of the Android running tablets.

Authentic Characters

The board game which follows the story of the first Witcher up until the new The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt has all the major characters in them. It brings in four of the best characters from the title including the main protagonist Geralt of Rivia, the same old monster slayer whom you have come to love in the years. There’s Triss Merigold who’s got a lot of great magic tricks and spells up her sleeve.

She’s a sorceress who needs no invitation to take you down if you block her path and stop her from emerging victorious. You also have the Yarpen Zigrin, who’s another powerful player and a dwarf. The last but another powerful entrant is Dandelion, a fierce warrior. With plenty of characters to choose from, you would never run out of heroes in the board game and you can also choose to play co-op so as to take on other opponents over the internet.

Addictive and Realistic

The game developers say that they have given equal importance to this board game as they did for The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt and it features authentic AI from the original game. The rules are easy to understand but it is always about how you take on your opponents with strategic style. There’s a leaderboard to show off your achievements and scores besides nearly 300 cards to choose from. There are over 30 monsters that you have to slay before emerging victorious.
