Samsung Galaxy S6 Release Date – Rumors and Latest Developments
The world hasn’t had enough, just yet, of the Samsung Galaxy S5 and now there are new rumors developing regarding the release of a new piece of gadget from Samsung, in the shape of Galaxy S6.
This smartphone is rumored to be codenamed Project Zero and as it seems, this phone is already on the table and designers at Samsung must now be sweating over what to include in the phone in order to make it an immediate success in the market, as opposed to its predecessor. There is a slight tweak in the way Samsung has assigned this project, its codename, from the usual manner that the predecessors of Samsung Galaxy S6 used to.
Samsung Galaxy S6 is a Reboot
For instance, the Galaxy S4 was codenamed Project J while the next piece in line, the Galaxy S5 was codenamed Project K. So, many expected that their next piece would sound like Project L; however, this is different and now there is Project Zero. Furthermore, since this smartphone is basically to run on the new version of the Android 5.0 Lollipop, it would have been viable to see the ‘L’ in the code name of the project. This is a huge indicator that there might be gigantic changes coming with the new Samsung Galaxy S6.
Galaxy S5 has had its share of the spoils and since the introduction of iPhone 6; the sales recorded for this device have gone down drastically. This time around, it seems this technology giant from Korea will be more cautious and come up with the best option of designing the S6. This option is thought to be an all-new one and hence the code name ‘Zero’.
What you should expect is big, especially since Samsung will be keen not to repeat what happened with S5. Furthermore, as earlier mentioned, Apple’s release of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is something that Samsung should take great note of, if they want to keep competing among the best in the mobile industry.
Brand New Design and Improved Performance for the Galaxy S6
The design of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 is expected to change, to feature a new Quad high definition screen. In addition, the phone will come in different models that will have either a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor or an Exynos 7420 processor.
Despite the looming changes, the new model from Samsung is expected to retain its traditional touchWiz interface, although little is known about how this will work with the new Android 5.0 Lollipop platform.
Camera and Storage
The Samsung Galaxy S6 is expected to come with a better camera, or match a similar camera as that on the Note 4. Furthermore, this phone is expected to come with a better front camera than what is provided in the S5, in order to trend along with the buzzing selfies.
The basic model will offer users with an internal storage memory of about 32 GB. Whether it will include support for external memory or not is yet to be known.
Samsung did not expect things to go wrong with their S5 model as they did. This actually has put a dent in their financial situation; however, they have the ability to do it and as it seems, the Galaxy S6 is what they just need, in order to get out of this pit full of problems.
The code name Project Zero might be an indicator of the intended unique style of the visual display as well as the general look of the device. This might as well be an indicator of what is to be the dawn of a new era for Samsung devices.
