New reports suggest that Microsoft is currently working on Lumia 1020’s successor. Without any doubts, the Lumia 1020 is one of the best smartphones out there, featuring an outstanding camera of 41MP.

The name of the successor is not known yet, but the tech geeks are speculating that it will be named Lumia 1030 and ITHome came with a concept design for the Lumia 1030 smartphone.

The Microsoft Lumia 1030 concept design clearly shows that the device will have some high end features. First of all, the device will run on Windows 10, an OS that will be released sometime in Q3-Q4 2015. The upcoming device will have a 5.8inch display that will support a Quad HD resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. The Lumia 1020 features only a 4.5inch display that supports a resolution of 768×1280 pixels.

The Lumia 1030 will have an awesome 41MP PureView camera with LED flash placed on the rear side and a secondary camera of 8.7MP on the front side of the device, which will be enjoyed by anyone who likes to make selfies. It is good to know that there are many rumors already saying that the Lumia 1030 will feature a 50MP primary camera and not a 41MP one.

Other rumors indicate that the upcoming Lumia 1030 will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB of RAM. As for the internal memory, it will come in two variants: a 32GB one and a 64GB one. The device will feature a 4300 mAh battery which will be able to hold the phone alive for a good amount of time.

We believe that Snapdragon 805 will not be one of the best CPUs in the middle of 2015, as many better CPUs will most likely be released in between. This will most likely make Microsoft think again about the Snapdragon 805 and replace it with something better. The rest of the specs are pretty good and will be enjoyed by everyone who will buy the device.

However, as expected, the device is not thinner when compared to many other smartphones that got released in 2014, but overall the device will look pretty good even if it has this downside. PhoneArena revealed a video showing the Microsoft Lumia 1030 concept, which you can see below:

Do you think that Microsoft Lumia 1030 will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 or it will pick a more powerful CPU that will be released in 2015? Will Lumia 1030 feature a 41MP camera or a 50MB one?
