Samsung Galaxy S5 OTA Update For Android 5.0 Lollipop
The OTA update with Android 5.0 Lollipop has finally arrived for the Samsung Galaxy S5 device that has the model number SM-G900F in Europe. Currently, the OTA update is available in Poland and according to SamMobile, it will soon arrive in all European countries.
In concordance with GSMArena, an early build of Android Lollipop was seen recently running on the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy S5 devices. The Galaxy S5 was released in February 2014 and it’s the first Samsung device that receives the Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

As usual, when a new Android version is released, the first devices that receive the update are the Nexus devices, followed by the Google Play Edition smartphones from other brands. And only after that, the update is released for other devices.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 were noticed recently running a beta version of Android 5.0 Lollipop build. According to PhoneArena, the Galaxy S5 owners from the U.S. will also receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop by the end of 2014.
Android 5.0 Lollipop is the first Android version that can support 64bits CPUs. The new Android OS was released 1 month ago, more exactly on November 12. Even if, currently, the most popular Android version is the 4.4.4 KitKat one, more and more users will upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop as soon as it will be available for their devices.
For now, Android 5.0 Lollipop is installed on only 0.1% of the Android devices, but as soon as it will be available for more devices, it will quickly grow up, as KitKat did back in 2013.
