A few weeks ago, the Google Nexus 6 phablet began selling on its website and in all Sprint stores.

This phablet goes at a price of $696, inclusive of a service plan.

The Google Nexus 6 was first unveiled back in October this year and features a diagonal display of almost 6 inches. In addition, it comes with an AMOLED screen that boasts a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels. This screen is also protected by Gorilla Glass 2.

As it has become a norm with Nexus phones, the latest model is expected to run on the latest version of the Android 5.0 Lollipop and with it, users can be guaranteed of a lively performance, thanks to its 2.7 GHz 805 Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and a RAM of 3 GB. This new phone from Google also offers support for various channel access methods, including GSM, LTE and CDMA. The phone will come in midnight blue and white colors.

Other notable features will include the in-built hearty stereo speakers, a 13-MP F/2.0 Sony Camera and a DSP chip that allows the summoning of the Google Voice-Activated assistant even when the phone is switched off. Furthermore, it will include support for Qualcomm Quick Charge which provides enough juice in a short period of 15 minutes that is required to run the 3220 mAh battery of the Nexus 6 for at least 6 hours. When it is fully charged, the run time for this battery is rated by Google to be 24 hours.

Is it a Good Deal?

Even though this phone has gained some unimaginable reviews, almost all of them come with an emphatic ‘but’ towards the end. This device is far better than what Google and Motorola have been doing in the past, when it comes to the build, camera, display and the battery life.

One great thing about the new Nexus 6 is that it’s a deal breaker as a phablet. Its size is larger than what a smartphone is known to be. However, if you don’t mind about the size, then this is what you should have. It’s fast and it’s also guaranteed of fast updates than any other phablet out there and with its solid battery life, this is one massive phone.

You may want to have the best of grips in order to own the Google Nexus 6 smartphone or else things will turn out bad for you, especially with the size and slickness of the phone’s build.

Looking to Gain a New Market

With the release of the new version of Nexus 6, it is probably a way for Google to gain a new market. It is a gadget that most entrepreneurs will love laying their hands on. In addition, those people who can’t afford to have both a smartphone and a tablet can go for the latest Nexus 6, after all; it’s a phablet.

As much as this niche seems not to be big, it is likely going to take shape in the near future. This is so because a few years back, no one would have said of the same now; that the supersize phones will once dominate the mobile phone industry.
