Asus Zenfone 2 finds its place among the various smartphones that are listed for release by the end of the first quarter of 2015.
With hopes being pinned on to the launch of the smartphone towards the end of March, there are many interesting speculations on how this mobile handset will rate itself in terms of hardware and software when compared to other similar devices. However, like all its other features, the gadget does not seem to let itself down and appears to have a pretty decent and noteworthy configuration. What follows below in the rest of the article is a study on the hardware and software that are very likely to be associated with the Asus smartphone.
Unlike many other smartphones that make use of a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, the Asus Zenfone 2 is believed to be loaded with an Intel Atom chipset and a quad-core 64-bit processor. This processor is also expected to have a reasonably excellent clocking frequency of 2.3GHz. The smartphone will also house an outstanding PowerVR G6430 graphics processing unit. With two powerful processors, there are hopes of the mobile handset not only operating faster, but also making multitasking easier than most other smartphones currently available. Compared to previous Asus handsets in particular, this configuration is said to make the Asus Zenfone 2 at least seven times quicker and render three times enhanced gaming experiences. There are also speculations about the Asus device incorporating the concept of dual channel technology for faster data transfer.
Memory and Storage Options
Regarding the memory, there are talks that Asus will offer two variants of the smartphone with different RAM variations. While one version of the handset is expected to come with the standard 2GB RAM, the other device is said to be available with 4GB RAM that is almost equivalent to the RAM in a laptop! The two versions are also expected to come with three existing internal storage choices of 16, 32 and 64GB internal storage. Apart from this, there are strong rumors about Asus offering 5GB free web storage on its Zenfone 2 device. The Taiwan based manufacturer is also going to make its handset available with an external storage capability of up to 64GB.
Software and Apps
While the initial batch of the Asus Zenfone 2 handsets will roll out with the Lollipop 5.0, Android’s most recent operating system version; a later batch will probably come with the Lollipop 5.1 installed. However, the Lollipop 5.0 batch will provide the support for an upgrade to the Lollipop 5.1 version. Apart from the Lollipop operating system, the device will be powered by the Zen UI skin that houses many promising apps with interesting features. One such app supported by the Zen UI is believed to be the Collage and Effects app, which can help you explore your creativity on the photographs captured using your smartphone camera. Another interesting app that is expected to be a part of the Zen UI’s offering is the ZenUI MiniMovie. With this app, you will be able to make a movie by creating a slideshow using the photos on your handset and you can include background music and titles too.
