If you are one of those people who look forward to a new BlackBerry smartphone, then you should enjoy rumors about Oslo.
BlackBerry Passport was a strange phone with a square screen and is an appliance that you could hardly tell it’s ergonomic. Yet it was a success for the company and this year is preparing a similar one, but with a different name. On June 30, BlackBerry supports an event and we could see the two new models.
In 2014, the best ones were BlackBerry Passport and Classic, in 2015 is expected an update of both. The first will be succeeded by BlackBerry Oslo, keeping the square screen and physical keyboard.
According to unofficial information published by BGR, the BlackBerry Oslo is approximately 4.5 inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1,440×1,440 pixels (same as last year’s model), a 13 megapixel camera and a secondary 2MP one, autonomy will be given by a 3,450 mAh battery, having about the same ability like the one on Meizu MX-5 Pro or Allview X2 Xtreme. The operating system will be BlackBerry OS 10.3.2.
The list of specs continues with a 2,2GHz Snapdragon processor, most likely quad-core one, 3GB of RAM and perhaps a storage space of 32GB with microSD card support. If you’re wondering who would like a BlackBerry, when there is Android, iOS or Windows, director John Chen said that users are still interested in security and BlackBerry services.
Chen said that the most influential people still have BlackBerry. “Therefore we see our devices to governments member of all developed countries“, said the director.
