Samsung Galaxy S6 VS Apple iPhone 6: What to Choose?
Samsung has recently come forward with their Galaxy S6 smartphone which has made Apple iPhone S6 looks obsolete in many ways. S6 has challenged many of the features previously introduced by iPhone 6. Comparison between both of them is very interesting as they both are rated as world’s best smartphones right now. Samsung Galaxy S6 has a thickness of 6.9mm and weighs 138g. It has aluminum unibody and a glass panel. It is available in four vibrant colors, they are: White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, and Blue Topaz. If you take a quick glance at S6 you can easily mistake it for S5 or S4 but upon closer inspection you will realize some major changes that have taken place. Like the home button has taken a bit more place to accommodate the highly tech fingerprint sensor, the screen bezel has also narrowed significantly down the sides.
Whereas, iPhone 6 is also 6.9mm thick but weighs bit less than S6 i.e. 129g. It has an anodized aluminum back and is available in three colors, they are: Space Grey, Silver, and Gold. Apple has entered into the era of large screen mobile phones with the launch of their iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus series.
Screen of Galaxy S6 is 5.1 inch, QHD ‘2K’ Super AMOLED and has 577ppi, 536nits brightness.
On the other hand, the iPhone 6 has a 4.7 inch screen, 1334 x 750 IPS LCD, and 326ppi, 504nit brightness.
On your first glance you will easily notice the difference between sizes of these both sets. Larger sizes ensure more fun in watching movies and playing games. Result of S6 is sharper than iPhone as it is adopted from Note 4.
You can easily spot the difference between both smartphones. Galaxy S6 has a 64 bit octa-core processor backed up with 3 GB RAM and a Mali T760 GPU for absolute gaming.
But iPhone 6 has a 64 bit dual-core processor, with 1 GB RAM and a PowerVR GX6450 GPU. Samsung Galaxy S6 has got a stronger CPU, GPU and three times stronger RAM than the one found in Apple’s iPhone 6. There were certain tests carried out on both devices to judge their performance but the results came out different than you may have expected. Apart from numbers, performance-wise both sets were found quick and sleek in carrying out day-to-day operations.
Both of these phones do not support Micro SD cards, but they both have different variants when it comes to storage. Samsung Galaxy S6 has 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB options whereas iPhone 6 has got 16 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB.
Galaxy S6 is supported by Android’s latest version 5.0.2 Lollipop with TouchWiz UI. iPhone 6 has got its renowned iOS 8.3. Although iOS 8.3 has been bit controversial with its several crashed and bugs reported by users but still it has introduced several splendid features that we have talked about in our other articles. Samsung has made some pretty good improvements too but we would say that when it comes to OS, Apple has won.
