Moto G 4G (2015) vs Moto E (2015) – Which One Is The Best?
Motorola is playing its cards pretty well in the low end of the smartphone market. The Moto E came with pretty good features at a decent price. Motorola is now back with its Moto E and Moto G 4G (2015 editions) which we’re pretty sure that a lot of people will want to buy.
Moto G 4G (2015) and Moto E (2015) come mostly with the same designs. On the back of the devices, we will notice a slightly curved plastic shell, which can be changed with different colors. The shells are pretty simple, featuring the Motorola logo.
However, there is a difference between the dimensions and available colors. The Moto G 4G (2015) comes with black/lemon or black color colors, it measures 141.5×70.7x11mm and weights 155 grams. On the other hand, the Moto E (2015) comes in white or black, measures 129.9×66.8×12.3mm and weights 145 grams.
Both devices feature IPS LCD displays, but they differ a little bit. The Moto G 4G (2015) features a 5.0inch display that supports a resolution of 720×1280 pixels at 249ppi, while Moto E (2015) features a 4.5inch display that supports a resolution of 540×960 pixels at 245ppi.
Processor, GPU and RAM
At the prices they come with, both devices have decent specs. The Moto G 4G (2015) features a Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, an Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
The Moto E (2015) comes in two variants: 3G and 4G. The Moto E 2015 3G variant features a Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, an Adreno 302 GPU and 1GB of RAM. However, the Moto E 2015 4G variant features a Snapdragon 410 processor clocked 1.2GHz, an Adreno 306 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
The Moto G 4G (2015) features a primary camera of 8MP on the rear side that features LED flash and it’s able to shoot videos at 720p @30fps, and a secondary camera of 2MP on the front side. The Moto E (2015) features a weaker primary camera of only 5MP on the rear side and it doesn’t have a LED flash and a VGA camera on the front side.
The Moto G 4G (2015) comes with 8GB or 16GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB. The Moto E (2015) features 8GB internal storage. Both of the devices support a microSD card that features up to 32GB of storage.
Both Moto G 4G (2015) and Moto E (2015) feature 2390 mAh batteries. However, since Moto G 4G (2015) comes with a bigger screen, its battery will get wasted faster than the one found on Moto E (2015).
The Moto G 4G (2015) is sold for 195 dollars, while the Moto E (2015) is sold for only 120 dollars.
